𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 (𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮)

**Tricked (2012)** is a Dutch psychological thriller directed by **Paul Verhoeven**, featuring a unique approach where the script was developed from hundreds of audience-submitted ideas. The film revolves around **Remco**, a successful businessman who is about to turn 50. He appears to have a stable family with his wife and two children, as well as a thriving company. Beyond his personal troubles, Remco becomes entangled in a **corporate power struggle**. **Tobias, his own son, and Willem, a longtime business partner, are secretly plotting to overthrow him**. They have arranged a deal that would force Remco to sell his shares, stripping him of control over the very company he built. As he struggles to manage his personal scandal, he must also fight to maintain his position in the business world. This leaves him in a state of paranoia and fear, realizing that **those closest to him might actually be the ones working to destroy him**.  

As Remco delves deeper into Nadja’s background, his suspicions about her true intentions grow. He hires an investigator to confirm whether she is actually pregnant with his child or simply using this claim to manipulate him. In the process, he uncovers shocking truths about **both Nadja and the people around him**. He gradually realizes that not just one but **multiple conspiracies are unfolding**, and he himself may just be a pawn in a much larger scheme. As the full picture becomes clearer, Remco is forced to confront the fact that **his past mistakes may have led to his downfall in the present**.
