Season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla continues to follow the main characters as they embark on dangerous and transformative journeys. Seven years after the previous events, Harald and Leif find themselves in the midst of a war in Syracuse, Sicily, under the command of General Maniakes. They face numerous challenges in capturing the stronghold, but through strategic planning and bravery, they manage to succeed, opening up new opportunities as well as unforeseen dangers.
Meanwhile, in Jomsborg, Freydis assumes leadership and raises Haraldβs son. She encounters StΓgr, a healer with unique combat skills learned from India. Their relationship deepens, but disaster strikes when the food supply is poisoned, leading to a deadly plague. StΓgr works tirelessly to heal the sick, but many perish, leaving Freydis with the difficult task of maintaining stability and protecting her people.
In Rome, King Canute, Queen Emma, and Godwin attempt to negotiate with the Pope to secure their political influence. Godwin resorts to bribing a cardinal, but Emma realizes this approach is unsustainable and chooses to eliminate the cardinal instead. Political tensions rise as betrayals and hidden agendas threaten the stability of the realm.
