Colombiana (2011)

As a young girl in Bogotá, Cataleya Restrepo witnesses the brutal murder of her parents at the hands of drug lord Don Luis. Before her father dies, he gives her a microchip containing crucial information and urges her to find her uncle in the U.S. Fleeing the country, she successfully reaches Chicago, where her uncle, Emilio, takes her in. Despite his efforts to steer her toward a normal life, Cataleya is determined to seek revenge and begins rigorous training to become a deadly assassin.

Years later, Cataleya (played by Zoe Saldaña) becomes a highly skilled contract killer working for Emilio. Using her assignments to send a message to Don Luis, she leaves an orchid—a Cataleya flower—on every victim, hoping to lure him out. Meanwhile, FBI agent Ross takes notice of the mysterious assassin, piecing together her signature calling card. As law enforcement closes in, Cataleya's personal vendetta becomes more dangerous, putting Emilio and those around her in jeopardy.

Her quest for revenge escalates when Don Luis, now living in Miami under CIA protection, sends his men to kill Emilio. Devastated by her uncle's murder, Cataleya goes on a ruthless rampage, systematically dismantling Don Luis' operations. She also struggles with a romantic relationship with Danny, an artist unaware of her true identity, adding emotional complexity to her relentless mission.

Determined to finish what she started, Cataleya infiltrates Don Luis' heavily guarded mansion, using her combat skills and intelligence to eliminate his men one by one. In an intense confrontation, she finally kills Don Luis, avenging her parents' death. However, her victory comes at a cost, as she is now a fugitive with both the authorities and remaining enemies after her.
