Iron Fist (2017–2018)

Iron Fist is a Marvel superhero TV series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), streaming on Netflix from 2017 to 2018. The show follows Danny Rand, heir to a wealthy corporation, who survives a plane crash and is trained by martial arts masters in the mystical city of K’un-Lun. He returns to New York as the Iron Fist, a warrior with supernatural abilities, determined to reclaim his legacy and battle hidden enemies.

The series blends martial arts, mysticism, and personal discovery, as Danny navigates a world filled with conspiracies, enemies, and secrets about his own past.

Season 1 (2017)

After being presumed dead for 15 years, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) suddenly returns to New York. He was thought to have died in a plane crash alongside his parents, but in reality, he was rescued and raised in K’un-Lun, where he trained in martial arts and became the Iron Fist, capable of channeling energy into his fist, turning it into a devastating weapon.

Upon his return, Danny discovers that Rand Enterprises, the company founded by his father, is now controlled by Ward (Tom Pelphrey) and Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup), the children of Harold Meachum (David Wenham), his father’s former business partner. The Meachums refuse to believe that Danny is who he claims to be.

As Danny fights to reclaim his place, he uncovers the presence of The Hand, a secretive criminal organization that has infiltrated Rand Enterprises. He teams up with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), a skilled martial artist, to combat The Hand. Meanwhile, Harold Meachum, who had faked his death, is revealed to be working with The Hand, manipulating events from behind the scenes.

In the final confrontation, Danny defeats Harold and takes back control of Rand Enterprises. However, when he returns to K’un-Lun, he finds that the city has mysteriously disappeared.

Season 2 (2018)

Following the events of Season 1 and The Defenders (where Danny teams up with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage to battle The Hand), Danny remains in New York, taking on the responsibility of protecting the city, filling in for Daredevil.

Danny faces a new threat from Davos (Sacha Dhawan), his former best friend from K’un-Lun, who believes that he is the rightful Iron Fist. Davos steals Danny’s powers through an ancient ritual, becoming a brutal and dangerous Iron Fist himself. Meanwhile, Colleen Wing discovers that she may have a deeper connection to the Iron Fist legacy. Ultimately, she inherits the power, wielding it through a glowing katana.

In the final battle, Danny and Colleen defeat Davos. Instead of reclaiming his powers, Danny chooses to leave New York to uncover the true origins of the Iron Fist.

The season ends with Danny in Japan, wielding a pair of glowing guns, hinting at a newfound mastery of his abilities and a deeper mystery surrounding his powers.
